By utilizing the electrical heart sensor on the Apple Watch, this app can accurately record one's heartbeat and rhythm, providing an analysis for any signs of atrial fibrillation (AFib), which represents an irregular rhythm.
The key features of the ECG app include:
- Enables users to take an ECG that resembles a single-lead electrocardiogram.
- Offers the flexibility to perform an ECG whenever necessary, such as during episodes of rapid or skipped heartbeats, or when receiving an irregular rhythm notification.
- Capable of indicating whether the heart rhythm displays signs of atrial fibrillation, a notable irregular heart rhythm, or sinus rhythm, which signifies a normal heartbeat pattern.
- Saves the recorded ECG waveform, classification, and any accompanying symptoms as a PDF within the Health app on iPhone, facilitating easy sharing with healthcare professionals.
Please note that the availability of this feature may vary across regions, and the ECG app is not compatible with the Apple Watch SE model.
